March 4, 2019, The Negros Island Organic Producers Association (NIOPA) became the first organization to have been able to avail the 3rd Party Organic Certification Assistance in Western Visayas. The third party certification means that an independent organization has reviewed all process with regards to production as in the case of organic produce, and has independently determined that the final product complies with specific standards for safety, quality and efficiency.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The National Organic Agriculture Program (NOAP), through the Department of Agriculture- Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10), spearheaded the conduct of the 14th National Organic Agriculture Congress last October 24-26, 2017 at the Atrium, Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City.

This year, the Department of Agriculture- National Organic Agriculture Program (DA-NOAP), through the Regional Field Office X, will be conducting 14th National Organic Agriculture Congress (NOAC) on October 24-26, 2017 at The Atrium, Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City.

QUEZON CITY – In line with the Proclamation No. 1030 declaring every month of November as “Organic Agriculture Month”, the National Organic Agriculture Program (NOAP) formally opened the celebration of the 3rd Organic Agriculture Month: Organic Agriculture: A SMART (Science-based, Market-oriented, Adaptive, Responsive, Transformative) Culture, last November 6, 2017 after the flag-raising ceremony.

QUEZON CITY – Last May 30, 2017, IFOAM has confirmed the membership of DA-NOAP as an international affiliate of the organization. 

IFOAM is a Non-Government Organization and the worldwide umbrella organization for the organic agriculture movement, which represents close to 800 affiliates in 117 countries. In harmony with the Principles of Organic Agriculture, DA-NOAP, as a partner of IFOAM in the Philippines, envisions to pursue the organization’s advocacy and the DA-NOAP’s objectives.
