QUEZON CITY – In line with the Proclamation No. 1030 declaring every month of November as “Organic Agriculture Month”, the National Organic Agriculture Program (NOAP) formally opened the celebration of the 3rd Organic Agriculture Month: Organic Agriculture: A SMART (Science-based, Market-oriented, Adaptive, Responsive, Transformative) Culture, last November 6, 2017 after the flag-raising ceremony.

Undersecretary for Operations Ariel T. Cayanan delivered a short message about the celebration, followed by the ribbon cutting of the exhibit at the DA Lobby, lead by Undersecretary Cayanan, Agribusiness, Marketing and Assistance Service Director Carolyn C. Castro, Chief of the Budget Division Ms. Telma C. Tolentino and National Program Coordinator Engr. Christopher V. Morales.

The exhibit highlights the developments and accomplishments of the National Program Coordinating Office, Regional Field Offices and partner agencies, to further encourage and motivate Filipinos to go Organic.

The Program is also set to conduct the 2nd National Organic Agriculture Program Poster Making and Essay Writing Contests on November 28, 2017 to engage and encourage the youth in Organic Agriculture.
